There has
been a lot of hype about interoperability and a lot of misinformation put forth
by various sources. NET Telecom will
bring clarity to the interoperability conundrum.
Interoperability is the ability of field units and agencies to talk and
share data in real time. Communications interoperability is often a challenge
because public safety agencies use radios that operate in various frequency
bands. Other obstacles included frequency availability and equipment
incompatibility. Achieving interoperability requires addressing operational as
well as technical obstacles to include common procedures and governance.
